The Bald Eagle Returns to the Northeast Metro

Bald Eagles nests are increasing in Ramsey County. One nest is in Maplewood in Keller Park. Ramsey County Naturalist John Moriaty Shows us the pair at Keller Lake.

The best place to view the Keller nest is from two locations in Ramsey County‚Äôs Keller Regional Park. Do not try to stop on Highway 36 to see the nest. The best site is off of Keller Parkway, north of Highway 36, on the east side of the Spoon Lake boat launch or from the north end of the Keller Island Picnic Area parking lot at the intersection of Highway 61 and County Road B. Ramsey County Parks and Recreation Department is installing viewing signs at these areas to alert the public of safe viewing sites.
