Job Description:

Responsible for working with the Mobile Production Coordinator in production of various community events including high school sports. Position requires demonstrated technical and creative experience in mobile production and or studio production. Must be a team player with the ability to work with non-professional volunteers, paid crew, and interns in the production of programming. Sports production role includes assistance on the production of the bi-weekly show Sports Path.

Overview of Job Duties (not limited to):

  • Work a varied shift of evenings an day-time hours. Work some weekends. 40 Hours per week will be guaranteed. No regular set hours. Specific times worked will coincide with evening broadcast schedule.
  • Produce and direct broadcasts of high school sporting events of four area high schools. Be proficient in the set-up and coverage of various indoor and outdoor events including live coverage.
  • Communicate efficiently with Master Control Operator and Mobile Production Coordinator to coordinate live coverage of sporting events.
  • Work with IT Coordinator and Technical Lead to go live via Comcast I-net infrastructure, bonded cellular network, and school district internet feeds.
  • Work with local school district IT departments to establish internet feeds to use for live broadcasts.
  • Able to effectively execute and or supervise all crew positions, including graphics, replay, audio, technical director, director, producer, and camera operator.
  • In producing sporting event broadcasts, establishing event contacts, site checks, coordinating crew and talent, preparation of team statistics, pre-produced segments and PR for event program.
  • Produce/incorporate graphics for truck/studio productions and oversee use of graphics system and replay system.
  • Assist with ENG. Proficient in the set-up and operation of professional camera and related field gear.
  • Shoot/edit and or produce program segments for various programs.
  • Proficient in Adobe Premiere non-linear editing and Creative Cloud operation including Media Encoder, Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
  • Assist with production of the bi-weekly show Sports Path.
  • Teach or assist in training of, and use of, volunteers and interns.
  • Assist with the shows Inside Health Care, Your Business Matters, and other studio programs.
  • Knowledge of and experience with content management, formatting and uploading to online sites including various social media sites.
  • Ability to troubleshoot basic production problems with video, audio and power systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Mobile Production Coordinator or Executive Director.
  • Drive mobile production truck to and from events.
  • Provide monthly reports and statistics regarding coverage of sporting events.
  • Coordinate with other PEG station Master Control and Sports Producer regarding carrying live and tape delayed events on SCC.
  • Attend regular Metro Sports Producer meetings with sports and broadcast staff of other area PEG stations.

Qualifications:


  • A minimum of 2 - 5 years experience in Video production with emphasis on mobile truck or studio production. Bachelor’s Degree and/or experience equivalent.
  • Proficient in post-production (capturing, editing, motion, coloring, audio, etc.) using Adobe Premiere, Media Encoder, After Effects, and the full Adobe Creative Cloud.
  • Experience with a wide variety of media platforms and technologies.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to represent the organization when speaking with clients, crew and the general public.
  • Must be able to work effectively with no supervision.
  • Understanding of and use of common social media platforms.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including evening hours.
  • Ability to work effectively with diverse groups of individuals.
  • Physical Requirements – Ability to lift 40 pounds
  • Must have good driving record.

IT Coordinator

Full-Time, Non-Exempt


Ramsey Washington Suburban Cable Commission is the governing body of the community access operations for the North East metro. SCCTV features professional staff productions of everything from local sporting events, plays and concerts to high school graduations and community parades as well as shows that provide news and information about our 11 member municipalities in the north east metro. IT Coordinator:

Responsible for administration of IT operations, including planning, implementation, and daily operations of hardware, software, and all networks utilized across all departments and operations. Broadcasting technology changes to include more IP functionality have necessitated the need for an IT coordinator who also understands broadcast technology. This position will work closely with the Technical Lead to maintain all of the IT hardware and software as well as a wide range of broadcast audio and video technology.


About you:

You are a wiz at all things IT both Hardware and Software.  Networking, Server Admin, Desktop support, and an understanding of programming. Comfortable with Macintosh OS X, Windows, and Linux. You must be able to troubleshoot end user issues, Identify possible infrastructure improvements, and maintain all hardware to keep everything running smoothly. Knowledge of AV and broadcast operations and hardware is a plus.


What You’ll Need:

  • 2+ years of prior experience in IT.
  • Proven ability to understand and manage IT infrastructure.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to identify issues, resolve them quickly.
  • Strong verbal, presentation and written communication skills as well as strong conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple projects, activities, and tasks simultaneously
  • Must be eligible to work in the US

Desired

  • Knowledge of AV and broadcast operations and hardware.
  • Knowledge of Tightrope Media Systems Broadcast Automation and Digital Signage
  • Knowledge in VMWare Virtualization
  • Degree in IT or related field.
  • 2+ years broadcast environment experience.
